Funeral services for Mr. Harold (Hal) L. Coutcher, 78, of Monroe, formerly of Flint, Michigan, are scheduled for 6 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the First United Pentecostal Church (Bastrop) with Revs. A.J. and Dwight Fulton officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Coutcher, a former employee of the Ouachita Parish Library, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church (Bastrop) and a big University of Michigan fan. Mr. Coutcher enjoyed finishing furniture and had a great sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Erlene Coutcher; sons, Harold Scott Coutcher of Benton, AR, David Brian Coutcher and wife Juanita of Sterlington, LA; daughter, Cheryl Lynn Cook and husband Stan of Monroe, LA; five grandchildren, David Andrew Coutcher, Levi Scott Coutcher, Kathryn (Katie Beth) Coutcher, all of Sterlington, LA, Hannah Nicole Coutcher of Fayetteville, AR and Benjamin Stanley Cook of Monroe, LA; great grandchild, Cody Shiflept of Sterlington, LA; two sisters, Winifred Coutcher, Patricia Coutcher of Flint, MI, many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Mr. Coutcher is preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Loraine Coutcher; sisters, Elaine Zerod, Dell Janni, Lorraine O'Donnell, Ann Mahoney; brothers, Ed Coutcher, Fran Coutcher and Joe Coutcher.
Pallbearers will be Doug Barton, Rodney Barton, David Barton, Aubrey Haynes, Eddie Gordon and Kendall Patrick.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 4 PM until 6 PM service time at the church.
